It's Fathers Day weekend

It means we'll get more ties

Some of us will get socks

Some might even get new tires

It's Father's Day Weekend

I might just get a new Grill

Means I'll be doing the cooking

But I know I'll just have to break it in

It's Fathers Day weekend

Will we get breakfast in bed

Will we get a new Lawn Mower

That John Deer looks to be expensive

Will it be a new weed eater

Or a nice mulcher will do

What ever we get it surely come from you

It will come from the heart

It will come with a smile

It will be gladly accepted

On this day of days

The one day for us

The real Fathers this day

This weekend is Fathers day weekend and this is my reminder for all. Any boy can make a baby but a real father, a real man, is the one who is there for that baby in any way, and every way that they can be.

That doesn't mean that the mother and father have to remain together because sometimes we know that just isn't possible. It does mean your there however. Not just with money but being a part of their life. Ball games, school, Weddings, or even just to hold their hand when times are rough. That's a real man and a real father.

Happy Fathers Day

Hello Tony! Happy Father's Day to you too. I was born on Father's Day (June 20) way back in 1954. As the first born daughter, I am still his "Daddy's little red haired girl."

And I let him know how blessed I am that he's my Father every time we speak on the telephone.

Happy Father's Day to dads everywhere!

Peace.

Sorry about that :( but I did think you had a son who is the reason you have a grand child so does that count :)

Actually, no kids either. I raised rotties, they were my kids.

Opps :)

Anytime you have a dog you have a kid to take care of :)

Explains my confusion however. I talk about mine like their my son and daughter until I catch myself :)

Of all the things we have to give time is the greatest gift. Every minute that we show we care is one less spent in regret of not being there to say 3 simple words.....I Love You.

Happy Fathers Day to you to, Tony. I agree, it takes more than sperm and a bump in the night to be a real father.

I'm thinking I'll get a Timmy card for FD. That's a coffee shop. WAY better than a tie, since I'm not a tie kinda guy.
