No Fishing sign

Advertise | AdChoices

Today is gonna be my day

I'm gonna get that fish

I've been planning this for months now

It's like my birthday wish.

Since May I've tracked your movements

I know your favorite food

I know that you will be here

Today your your mine to rule.

My picture will make the papers

I'll win some kind of prize

I know I'll be rewarded

For catching your thieving hide.

There's even a restaurant

That wants you for the menu

Shark fin soup and broiled shark steaks

That's what they want from you.

So today I brought my gear

Some I had to have made

A chair I can anchor to the ground

A holder for my real

A shark as big as you

Will surely fight with zeal.

So today I'll be a hero

When I catch you by myself

A feeling I shall treasure

An it will also improve my wealth.

No way this can't be real

I don't believe my eyes

I surely didn't just see

The words of that darn sign?

No fishing here today

No you cannot pass

The cops will surely get you

And arrest your scheming arse!

:)

OK I hope I made you laugh :)

Sometimes we can learn a good lesson when it comes with a good laugh. Today's lesson is if your going to base all your dreams of success on a single plan then don't forget to plan on things that might go wrong. Besides when you put all your eggs in one basket someone could steal the basket.

Great poem with an excellent point! $10,000????? Unbelievable. That's a bigger fine than for illegal dumping (at least in my area). I wonder which has the bigger impact on our environment? /s/

Great Poem Tony. The fine seems a bit mush, heck they should have made it a 100,000, what's the difference?

Danged if I know but if it was just 1,000 I'd find someplace else to fish :)

Sorry but that salmon had better be made of gold if you wanted me to take that chance.

A great fish story, Tony
one worthy of its rank.
Why it even has a moral
to put in one's own tank!

Thank You :)

Gotta love a happy ending or maybe just an ending with meaningful end.

Big Happy Smile Face, saw a fella once that fished anyway, said that he'd been fishing there for 20 years and nobody had the right to make him stop now. He looked to be about 80 LOL He was a pip

At 80 I don't think anyone is gonna mess with him either. Set in his ways an old enough to spank someone over his knee for back talking :)

    Thank You :)

Went for lunch and planning to go fishing this weekend but I watched Deep Blue Sea again and couldn't get my mind off sharks :)

Never caught one bigger than a baby but this weekend a friend wants to go out on the Chesapeake Bay and that's where I caught not just the baby but also a sting ray once. It all tied together when I remembered the docks where closed for repairs the last time so I just had to have fun with it :)

Tony, I love The Blue Planet and Planet Earth. Didn't know sting rays come up North. Heard that Whale Sharks are in the Gulf! That surprised me, too! Or was it because of the oil spill?

From what I hear the Whale Sharks could be because of the spill. With the Rays we get them off the coast of VA and NC but their not spotted that often from what I hear. If fact I've only see 3 Rays in the last 24 years to include the one I caught.
