It's Life

What a day

Advertise | AdChoices

It's life and it's wonderful

We live, we love, and play

We share our hopes and dreams

And we laugh along the way

Things will happen which make us cry

Things will happen to make us smile

Everything that happens won't be great

And everything won't be sad

It's why this life is so great

Because everything comes in a mixed bag

Take for insistence the people you'll meet

The different animals you'll see

The many huggs you'll get

And the many kisses you'll receive

These are the things that make life worth living

For each day can bring new joy

New wonders to see and memories to make

Which will always be just yours

The words "Life is what you make of it" has been said since man first started to record history. I hope all who read this are making the most of the life they have.

Hiya Tony, trully enjoyed reading this, how true this is and how simple. It's nice to be reminded of just how simple is should always stay. Thanks, Hek

Thank You

That turtle could have been me over the weekend. Had my 9 year old grand daughter and I wrote this while she was over. First she talked me into spending 40 bucks on strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, grapes, banana's, low fat plain yogurt, and non fat skin milk so she could have us drinking fruit smoothies all weekend. No coffee or soda as she wanted me and Nana to watch our diet. She said "at you guy's age you have to watch what you eat and Papa drinks to much coffee". Should have seen us in the store as she called herself teaching me about the benefits of each fruit. The other shoppers where very impressed and I couldn't smiling and laughing :)

When we finished the first batch she asked me how come I always seem to be in a good mood. Then she asked if she could read one of the poems I'd written because daddy told her I still like to write. So we wrote this one and she picked out the turtle in order to give me something to write about.

Now that is what life is all about - out the mouth of babes. We should always listen to children:) Lovely grandaughter you have, just lovely:) Hek And the Turtle is perfect as it represents us slowing down a bit and back to basics! She has great taste!

Every now and then we need to write articles and seeds like this to show compassion to our fellow humankind. We also need to think about another things besides politics.

Tony... great poem and great seed.

I know that's the God's honest truth. We spoil'em and we just can't help it because they stole our hearts and we ain't ever getting it back :)

And I can't wait to meet my grandchild..........my youngest daughter may be pregnant.....YaY. We will know on the 20th for sure at her appointment, but she is otherwise taking care of herself as if she is. This would be my WittyBlond daughter. My youngest. She is graduating from her two year at the end of summer and just got married, bought a house and is on her way. She makes me so proud. We looked at baby stuff today and she's decided to go with the name Emma or Emmy if it's a girl, for me. YaY. If it's a boy, she's naming him after her father, since there aren't any males in the family to carry on the name, at least he'll have his first. Emma is the name I tried to shove down LKesslers throat, (when she was looking for names) I guess she's settled on Megatron......laughing, it's so old world movie starish and well, just simple and beautifully sweet. And I'm getting my wish anyway, (providing it's a girl) but there will be more:)

Congrats HeK :)

You are going to have so much fun spoiling him/her you can't imagine it for the full effect. They have this almost magic effect of making you feel young again and I mean teenage or younger. It's awesome and I can't wait to hear your stories on it. Believe me you'll have plenty to write about which will make everyone smile :)

OK but I got my fingers crossed and toes to just in the hopes I have for you and your daughter. So much joy wrapped in one little package and so many adventures to look forward to together :)

Honestly, I'm not really hoping one way or the other, that would be selfish. Wittyblond, my daughter is the one that had the heartatche a couple of weeks ago. She just started a new regime of medications, which would be altered of course, but I have my fears. She has the sweetest story book life and I want nothing but the best for her, and this includes, as her and her husband want, lots of kids. It will be what it's suppose to be, but I'm all there no matter what, always. Hek:)

Okay, signing off now - Good night and have a great weekend. I'm working the next 3 nights, so I'll be on the vine during my breaks or whenever I can.
