Shhh Don't Cry

Classic from Ghost

Without regrets my body lays beneath the stars

The heart within no longer beats

The body no longer warm

The ground will keep it safe

In the arms of Mother Earth

While my spirit goes to see

Those I thought of first

Shh don't cry my love for it is alright

I'm no longer in pain as I start my endless night

Father God has granted me a place by his side

He allowed this return so I might wipe your tears aside

I know you cannot hear me but my presence you can feel

While I try to find a way to show you all of this is real

I no longer hurt from my bodies injured form

My spirit was never injured like my body born

My sight has been restored my hearing has been to

My legs can hold me again just like my arms that use to hold you

I feel young again like the day we first made love

That's how it is for me in the starry sky above

How I wish that you could hear me as I tell you this right now

Believe me when I tell you that it's alright for me and wow

This feeling of freedom and this feeling of joy

I have been reunited with those that went before

Shhh my love don't cry

Will be together again

But for now it's not your time

Your journey must not end

Just know this in your heart

My love will never die

I see the tears are drying

Is that the hint of a smile

I see you felt my presence this entire while

I can see you know it's alright

And I can tell you now

Thats why God granted me my wish

To be with you tonight

I've written about my life, my dreams, and loved ones who are no longer with us. I have also written about how I found that life after death is a reality. All we can do is live a good life with little or no regrets. When our time is over those we leave behind will be sad but make sure that sadness doesn't include them never knowing how you feel. Stevie Wonder said it in a song "These 3 Words" and as I heard it tonight the poem above formed.

Oh and if anyone knows Mr. Wonder please tell him Thank You for his song truly touches the heart. For those that do not know the song the 3 words are "I Love You".

As usual it's snowing and I'm stuck at work with the radio on and day dreaming of when I get home to my family. While listening to that song tonight the words above flowed easily. In it he reminds us that each day is a gift and we shouldn't wait or let time pass without reminding each other of how we feel.

Anyway I hope you liked it and I hope this message will always remain true:

"Love never dies and 3 simple words I Love You can make all the difference in the world that's ever needed".

Tony!

Thank you for emailing me about your article. I'm sorry I didn't get to it until now.

I've read it twice. And cried twice.

Your title didn't work! Anyone who has ever loved anyone and lost them either through true death or the death of a relationship can relate and if they feel and have a heart...will cry...if not outwardly then at least inwardly.

Thank you for sharing your words and your heart...

Thank You GoldenGateMami

I did the title because it was the only part I said twice. The words might have come easy but me and names or naming them is a whole other ball game. Anyway I am really glad you liked it. I emailed a few on my friends listing that I knew liked poems and also those who I remembered have had to deal with a loss.

Tony, please call me Susi ....its shorter to type :)

I loved it. It's quite relevant right now for me in more ways that one.

I feel honored I was one of the ones you chose to email.

Good job with your posting! :)

Tony-I tried to clip this over to GNW, but it says it could not clip this content for some reason.

I would use the report bug function (upper right to report it-copy the URL to them on it-I'll do it to).

    Very nice and touching article.

Hey Tony, Loved the poem. It's a shame that we sometimes forget that love is what life is really all about and it's the only thing we can take with us when we leave this place. Thanks for the reminder

This is a very beautiful poem, Tony. It wonderfully captures your reassurance and belief that those "who are no longer with us" desire our peace and comfort from our "loss".

Thank you for sharing your message and talent.

    Thank You

I wrote another article called "Insured but Thanks for nothing". I needed to write something uplifting after dealing with those memories. Well I listen to a smooth jazz station and that song came on. Then everything just flowed from there as I listened.

Wow, Tony, that's beautiful. You're absolutely right. I know I'm guilty of not saying " I Love You" half as often as I should. I do show it in the little things I do, but I realize it's not quite the same as saying it. Thanks for sharing.

I've been guilty myself sometimes. They forgive me for it and then everything turns into a group hug session.

Tony, when I got your email about this article, I was sitting in ICU with my 96 year old Grandmother. I can't tell you how timely this is for me. She has touched so many people in her life. It is my hope that I can cultivate the gifts she has given me, and share love as she freely does. Thank you for sharing here.

Clipping this to a few groups. Have a great weekend :)

Well my friends I would like to inform you all that I have written another poem. I will publish it on Wednesday. It's title is "In my Life" and I think it will be a nice follow up to this poem.

For some reason my soft side is showing itself more and more often on my feel good articles. My wife has already read it and where I would normally take the next few days to tweak it she has told me not to change a word and has found the picture she felt that goes with it the best.

That's all I say about it for now as it's meant to be for the heart from the heart. So with that said I'll leave off with what we say to our friends we know we won't see for awhile:

Love, Peace, and Happiness until we meet again.
