So what I'm a kid at heart
It's really my life to live
Who cares about my age
As I'm only as old as I feel

Having Grand children won't change it
In fact I think it helps
They make me feel young
OK it sounds dumb
But I'm still having fun with them

So who cares what others might say
It won't ever ruin my day
My heart remains light
My spirit is bright
An on it's wings I can soar an take flight

So what if I'm a kid at heart
It gets me through my day
I can still laugh at myself
And it's OK to feel that way

I can still see beauty
I can experience it too
In all the wonders of the world
It's a feeling of joy
Like getting a new toy
And a great way to start your day

So I'll play with my kids and their kids too
I'll cherish the times I've tickled to hear
The funny ways they laugh
With all the good times we've shared

So as the days ahead grow fewer
The days behind grow vast
I think I'll remain a kid at heart
Until all my days have passed
.
.
.
.
Unconditional Love, trust, hope, honesty, and imagination all reside in the heart of a child so does your child still reside in you?

As an adult we sometimes take things a bit to seriously. We forget to lighten up and enjoy ourselves. The sand between your toes, a push on a swing, or just throwing a frisbee with nothing more important in mind than to relax can do wonders. So take the time today to kiss your wife's neck, tussle your child's hair, or just play fetch with the dog if you can. What ever stress you have built up might just go away without you even noticing it's gone.

Tony really enjoyed the poem. I may have to age in years, but I be damned if I have to grow old.

Wanted to write something which could bring a smile when we forget that getting older doesn't mean we can't have fun.

      There They Go Again

      Hey Tony,

I've given up serious for just enjoying life. I don't have that much left and see no reason to waste what's left. My grandcihildren are my life now and they are great. I'm hoping for more but glad that my daughter is taking her time. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

      There They Go Again

Thank you and I hear ya. My oldest grand is 10 and the youngest of the 5 is 2&1/2 now and was born just 2 days after my birthday (funny thing is my grand father was 60 years and 9 days older than me). We enjoy spoiling them but it's scary watching a 5 year old caste a rod when we go fishing (swear that boy doesn't pay attention and one day he'll hook his older sister and toss her in) because he is as stubborn as his daddy an never again shall the words let me help you with that pass my lips until he asks for help. It's like reliving my own childhood.

What the heck Tony, putting a fishook into your sister is what it's all about. Mine was born on Feb. 5 and already drives his big sister (18 months) crazy. Just watching them is worth the price of admission.

                Susi,

Regarding 5.2; I'm about as sticking in the mud as they come and you've always been more than friendly. Besides, talking to you is fun. Hope you're feeling better.

I love being a big kid. I love to laugh and play. Sometimes I play so much to where my kids tell me to go take a nap and they're adults. Laughter reduces stress and you live longer. I just like to have a ball whateve I do. So go ahead and be a kid, nothing wrong with that.
